The New Zealand Bloggers Union Supports VSM - for your own good

The NZBU loves compulsion. We love it that we represent all of you lovely bloggers no matter what you believe in. We are excited that because you write a blog you automatically become members of our union. It's so simple.

Of course that means we are against other unions that think they can represent you. Trade unions and student unions especially. Lots of students blog and have twitter and Facebook, which we define as a type of blogging too. You might not know this but we represent almost ALL of New Zealands internet users.
We don't like competition so we will be supporting Voluntary Membership of Student Unions so that you can only be members of our union and we can do our job representing you without all those pretender unions getting in the way.

The NZBU has polled members such as Whale Oil, Jordan Carter and Malcolm Harbrow and blogs such as The Standard, The Hand Mirror and Kiwiblog and the findings show our members are enthusiastic about protecting their compulsory membership of their blog union. Simply by posting regularly is enough evidence that we are desperately needed in the blogosphere, after all...if you didn't want to be a member you don't have to blog.

The annual NZBU elections will be held over the next week or so - all nominations for the executive can be left in the comments field.

Yours in solidarity
